Davy Hickey Properties have been the developers behind the world-class Citywest Business Campus since its establishment in 1990. From the outset, their ambition for Citywest extended beyond commercial success—they envisioned a thriving, integrated community that included a significant residential component alongside the business hub. We were appointed to deliver the final phases of residential schemes by Davy Hickey Properties, in collaboration with their construction partner Glide Construction.
These residential schemes are comprised of the construction of 96 high-quality apartments across three distinct blocks, offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. The buildings range from three to five storeys in height and are designed with thoughtful layouts and specifications. All apartments include an entry-level WC, while the two-bedroom units feature a master bedroom with en-suite. Each apartment benefits from private outdoor space via level-access balconies, and all residents enjoy access to beautifully landscaped communal gardens.
Architecturally, the buildings showcase modern design with a strong visual identity. Features include glazed balconies with distinctive cladding, façades finished in Kingscourt Retro Tiffany brick with champagne mortar, granite window sills, and high-performance aluminium windows, doors, and screens.
The development was carefully designed to foster a sense of community and provide a peaceful, secure living environment within the broader Citywest Village. The apartments fulfilled the developer’s social housing obligations and were delivered to Fold Housing, who allocated the homes to tenants from South Dublin County Council’s housing waiting list. These purpose-built apartments support independent living for older residents, combining comfort, accessibility, and community in a thoughtfully planned setting.
